An open letter to the donors of the victims of Typhoon Odette

On behalf of Ernesto “Asay” Yu Foundation, we are writing this letter with immense pleasure to convey our gratitude and appreciation for your generous donation for the victims of Typhoon Odette in Sitio Maximina, Poblacion 1, Carcar City.

Your generous support has enabled us to further our mission in bettering the lives of the victims. 400 families with an average of 5 members were given food packs consist of 5 kilos of rice, canned goods, biscuits and hygiene items. At least they will survive of their food need for 3 days in time for another help to come.

We know we are also victims of the said calamity and experienced the same fate with them, however, as Mother Teresa once said, and quote, “Give but give until it hurts”. Furthermore, famous philosopher Charles Dickens said and quote, “ No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another”. We hope these thoughts justify our noble deeds.

Let us thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we hope to count on your generosity in our next mission.
