In the recently concluded Skills Development Training held at Talisay Livelihood Center, another batch of diligent future beauticians emerged. Let us congratulate the 21 trainees who grabbed not only the chance to enhance their skills in beauty care and hairdressing but also the chance of a new future. For them, the said training will help them become certified and skilled beauticians just like the previous batches.
As exciting as it is, the Beauty Care and Hairdressing commenced last December 2015. Every month, the trainees would come together to develop the skills needed as a beautician. During these training sessions, a professional beautician provided practical, useful knowledge about beauty care that the trainee could use at home or in a rewarding, new career. The training strived to keep up with current trends, but remains dedicated to teaching the ever-important fundamentals. Some key topics included were makeup techniques, manicure and pedicure techniques, and hairdressing techniques. Trainees were able to showcase their capabilities through hands-on experiences.
The new beauticians expressed their happiness and gratitude for the path that EAYFI opened for them. They believed this could be a stepping stone towards one of the many satisfying careers like working for beauty salons, spas, beauty care product suppliers, beauty schools or more. Also, the smiles they put on their faces reflected that they are much ready to serve customers who will be satisfied because of the capabilities they learned during the training.
March 7, 2016 was the date these 21 trainees become skilled and certified beauticians which happened at the Talisay City Hall. The DSWD of Talisay, City had given a kit for each and every graduate as a beginning of their journey as beauticians.
